This Privacy Policy explains how Vers.us ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Vers.us mobile app and playvers.us (together, the "Service").

Information we collect

Account information — email address, username, and profile details you provide (bio, avatar).
Content you submit — photos and videos you record for battles, votes you cast, and messages or challenges you send. Battle entries are visible to other users as part of gameplay.
Gameplay data — battle results, vote history, streaks, VersBucks balance, leaderboard standing.
Device information — push notification tokens, device identifiers (used for vote-integrity protections), and basic device/OS details.
Purchase information — purchases are processed by Apple; we receive purchase status (e.g., an active subscription), not your payment details.
Diagnostics — crash reports and performance data to keep the app working.

How we use it

To run the Service: matchmaking, battles, community voting, leaderboards, and VersBucks.
To send push notifications you've enabled (you can manage categories in Notification Preferences, or disable push in your device settings).
To moderate content and keep the community safe, including reviewing reported content.
To administer contests you choose to enter.
To fix bugs and improve the app.

How content is shown to others

Vers.us is a competitive community app. Your username, avatar, profile, battle entries, and results are visible to other users. While a battle is live for voting, entries are shown to voters without revealing which competitor submitted them until after a vote is cast.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that operate the app on our behalf — hosting and database services, media storage and delivery, push notification delivery, purchase processing, and crash reporting — and when required by law.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Settings), which removes your profile and personal information from the Service. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, or anti-abuse purposes.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
